This is my best friend: KitchenAid KSMArtisan Series 5-Quart Mixer in Metallic Chrome.

From the moment I laid eyes on her, I knew we’d be inseparable. It all started when I was perusing a catalog at work on things I could redeem my points for a job well done on. I had heard of KitchenAid stand mixers before, but not being much of a domestic diva, I never gave it any serious thought. But when owning one became a reality, it became my obsession.

After putting it off for months, I finally decided I’d get the Artisan over the KitchenAid Professional Stand Mixer in Metallic Chrome. I figured I’m not pro; I’m just an amateur.

This mixer has changed my life!

Prior to getting this mixer, I had used my oven once in about 5 years (and this was after moving to this many different places).   Since I got the mixer, I have been using my oven several times a month because I’m a baking maniac! It makes mixing cookie dough child’s play – literally. Since it is more powerful than a hand mixer, it pretty much takes 2 minutes or less to mix anything!

But it’s not just good for mixing. Oh no! My bff had given me so much joy that I had to give back. So, I also got the KitchenAid FPPA Mixer Attachment Pack for Stand Mixers. Let me just say, I regret ever getting a manual cheese grater. A few days ago I used my shredder attachment to finely shred a big block of cheese. With my cheese grater, I probably would’ve been close to being six feet under before this block was completely shredded. But now that I’ve got my attachments (aka Lifesavers), I was done in about 2-3 minutes! No more worries about shredding my knuckles!

Also, the attachments are pretty easy to attach, detach and clean.

Don’t be a fool by being put off by the price. The KitchenAid and the attachments more than pay for themselves. Do yourself a huge favor and get one today! Don’t like the metallic chrome like mine? Don’t worry! There’s a color for EVERY decor. If I could, I’d get one in every color! Seriously! I love it that much!
